When I can find easy home remedies that can cut out both expensive purchases and chemicals, I am all about giving them a whirl. This is a great time of year for making rose water because the sun can do the distilling process for you. Rose water is said to help with many common ailments and can be used in the following ways:Topical• Soothes skin irritation.• Reduces skin redness.• Heals cuts, scars, and burns.• Helps prevent and treats infections.• Contains antioxidants.Aromatherapy • Enhances mood.• Relieves headaches.• Soothes PMS symptoms. To apply the rose water, you can add it to a bath, rub it directly on the problematic area, or simply sprits it in the air. I can’t wait to hear...
On warm summer evenings I find myself seeking out light fresh meals for dinner. One of my go to meals is fish tacos and this summer I started combining it with a coleslaw recipe I found this spring. With a daughter allergic to eggs, a husband with high cholesterol, and dairy less than agreeable with me I often find myself turning to vegan recipes to check all the boxes. These recipes are not without failures, but the coleslaw is a winner. It adds both a creaminess and a crunch that goes well with the flakey Cod. This is a quick easy meal that should be a hit with the whole family on a busy weekday but also plays well if...
Age Appropriate Fashion After 30. While much of this evolution happens naturally, we all have those wardrobe pieces we stubbornly cling to. We may probably never wear them (or, at least, we never should). Well, I am here to help, because when it comes to clothes, every woman can use an occasional nudge toward adulthood from time to time (including, moi). First things first: Past the age of 30, you really should be limiting your fast-fashion (remember, I touched on this in my last post) consumption to only trendy pieces you don’t want to drop a ton of cash on. But if you have other items in your closet from the fast-fashion mega stores of the world and never wear...
⚠️WARNING ⚠️ Lengthy Post!!! You may have seen a shift in our inventory! Here’s why: If clothes last longer, ultimately we will learn the age old lesson about the difference between cost and price: price is what you pay today, cost is what you spend over time. The concept of investing in your wardrobe is something we’re starting to see, it’s a MINDSET. “Fast Fashion” is a thing...a big thing. The problem with it is it becomes “Throwaway Fashion”. One wash and it shrinks, doesn’t fit right, falls apart...how frustrating, right?! Our philosophy at Lindsey Moceri is fewer items will create better fashion....
MAGIC. I am not talking about a magician making the Statue of Liberty disappear or “sawing” a person in half. I am talking about the trade show that happens twice a year in the glitzy town of Las Vegas. This was my first year of attending. I brought my trusty “assistant” my husband, Tony. We were only there for two nights, we stayed at the Bellagio...baller, I know. Ok, back to the show... MAGIC is a little bit of a girls dream and nightmare all wrapped into one big package. You have a million vendors to choose from, which makes it easy to spend a million dollars. The trade show has the latest trends in women’s fashion as well as...
